With FontExplorer X Pro, the intuitive controls help you activate the fonts you need and deactivate those you don’t enabling you to free up resources and ensure your system runs as efficiently as possible. Quickly organize and explore every detail of your existing font collection.

FontExplorer X Pro’s enhanced user interface offers a configurable toolbar to improve the accessibility of your most frequently used controls. Back-up functionality offers protection for these and all other FontExplorer X settings, as well as your font data.

Robust auto-activation functionality allows you to decide which applications may request fonts, and which may not. Also included are plug-ins for popular programs such as Adobe® InDesign®, Illustrator® and QuarkXPress® applications. You can even create font sets to activate or deactivate upon the launch of specified applications.

Conflict resolution controls allow you to detect font issues before problems can arise. Identify duplicate fonts and missing printer fonts. Obtain significant performance advantages through quick font deactivation and font cache clearing functions.

FontExplorer X Server

FontExplorer X Server extends the capabilities of FontExplorer X Pro to server-based workgroups. Working in either Macintosh® or Windows® server environments, workgroup administrators gain centralised control over font usage, while end users stay focused on creative pursuits.

The solution includes access to the renowned Linotype®, Monotype® and ITC® OpenType® font libraries − a collection of more than 4,000 designs that will keep your organization typographically equipped and inspired.

FontExplorer X Server’s easy-to-use admin interface can be accessed from any Macintosh desktop client within the network or through our Windows-based administration tool. Use these tools to distribute fonts and font sets over the entire network.

Leverage LDAP to quickly import existing users and groups. Assign read and write permissions to users and groups. Specify how long font data can be used after a user disconnects from the server.

Monitoring functionality provides insight into font usage across the network. Determine which fonts are used by which users. For organizations seeking comprehensive font license compliance, our optional Fontwise® service can be run in parallel with FontExplorer X Server.

FontExplorer X Server’s speedy and reliable SQL-based architecture scales smoothly as your organization grows, while backup functionality allows administrators to recover fonts and settings with ease.
