New Foundry: International House of Fonts

International House of Fonts (IHOF), a division of P22, is a type boutique that showcases distinctive type designs and designers from around the world. The IHOF collection embodies a sensitivity towards historical lettering, while introducing unique and contemporary typefaces. IHOF was established in 2001 and presently includes designs from Japan, Germany, Hungary, Canada and the US. The selection is rich in calligraphic scripts by lettering artists such as Michael Clark, Arthur Baker, Ray Cruz, Rob Leuschke and the original designs of Karlgeorg Hoefer and Charles Paxton Zaner. New introductions are presented periodically.

New Foundry: Lanston Type

Lanston Type's rich history dates back to 1887 when Tolbert Lanston received his first patent for a mechanical typesetting device. Later refinements led to the Monotype casting machine and the emergence of the Lanston Monotype Company as one of the most renowned type supply companies in the world. Lanston Type is now owned by P22.

Lanston Type continues its hundred-plus-year tradition of supplying quality type for discerning users. It presents many of the famous type designs of Frederic Goudy and Sol Hess as well as typographic classic that every designer should have in their library.

New Foundry: Rimmer Type

The Rimmer Type Foundry features the type designs of Jim Rimmer. It is a rare typographic craftsman who is fully at ease cutting metal typefaces by hand and working the same designs with Bezier Curves on a Macintosh computer. Jim Rimmer is this craftsman and more. He has designed typefaces for his own books that he designs, Illustrates, prints and occasionally writes himself.  Over 200 digital faces have been made including the imposing 90 font ""Dokument"" family.

New Font: Egyptian Slate

Egyptian Slate: Just as the camera adds weight to human faces, serifs can add weight to typographic faces. Rod McDonald trimmed and adjusted his new Egyptian Slate™ design as it emerged from its sans serif predecessor, the Slate™ design. The result is a solid and stylish slab serif design that will look superb in the spotlight of your choosing.

New Foundry: Dutchfonts
DutchFonts is the type foundry set up by Ko Sliggers (Dutch) to develop and sell his typedesigns. A constant characteristic in the typefaces he develops is the aim to bring back irregularity as an articulation of a personal, handmade, human approach and expression that is more interested in handiwork and craftmanship. Many of the fonts are inspired by existing, found letterforms.

New Foundry: Haiku Monkey
